Tonight as a nurse was flushing Bo’s central line we noticed that it was blocked. We called in an IV Specialist and she agreed that it is blocked and they have to try to unblock it using a therapy called TPA. If this doesn’t work, the alternative is a surgery to install a new line, which isn’t ideal.
Please be praying that the TPA corrects the issue and no surgery is needed. The TPA needs at least 10 hours to work, so hopefully it is cleared by morning. We will update as we know more ❤️
