September 9, 2019, Settling In! (Day -10)

Hi All!

Although this is not the update I had planned to write on transplant (but hope to in the next day or so), I still wanted to check in.

Today has been FULL with being admitted and getting settled, but I wanted to write a short update because so many of you have checked in and asked how we are doing and to let us know that you have been thinking of us and praying for this big day!

As you all know, we have been anticipating today for months and it has been amazing the amount of peace we have felt. I have also been surprised by all of the excitement today has held. We are meeting everyone on our transplant team, getting settled into our new room (which coincidentally is the same room number we had at our last hospital), and figuring out our new rhythm here.

All in all, today has been a great day. Bo will begin the anti-seizure med shortly tonight in anticipation for chemo at 4am tomorrow. That chemo med will be given every 6 hours round the clock, so please be praying for protection over his sweet little body.

We love you all so very much and are so thankful to walk this journey with you ❤️

To God be the glory!

Checking out his new view!

  1. Val and I have been, and will continue to pray for Bo and all of you every day!! We are praying for our Father’s hand of protection over all of you, for wisdom for the doctors, for the health of the donor, and for the Holy Spirit’s peace to reign over the whole procedure. We love you, Chloe, and will await your next update!!

  2. I’m reading this update at our Bible Study tonight. We pray for Bo and the family weekly together and daily individually. We feel like we know the little guy and so thankful he has Godly parents and grandparents to literally carry him through this journey . We love you!
